1. It bugs me that customers are occasionally rude and ungrateful even if I go out of my way to help them. This bugs me because I try to treat everyone with respect and expect the same in return, especially if I try helping someone.
2. It bugs me that people have very little patience and often interrupt an interaction I am having with another customer. This bugs me because I know how much I value my time and I know that I wouldn't want to be interrupted by someone else.
3. It bugs me that management often doesn't recognize employees for doing a good job. This bugs me because many of us try very hard to go above and beyond what is expected and we end up feeling unappreciated.
4. It bugs me that my dryer has been broken for months even though I have talked to management several times. This bugs me because this will drive up the electric bill.
5. It bugs me that my schedule is never consistent at work. This bugs me because it makes it very difficult to plan anything around a schedule that isn't set and isn't released until the week prior.
6. It bugs me that my phone doesn't always work. This bugs me because it is a relatively new phone and shouldn't have this many issues.
7. It bugs me that many of my coworkers do not care about their jobs. This bugs me because I want to work with people who want to be there and actually care about what they are doing.
8. It bugs me when people call out of work all the time. This bugs me because it is very unprofessional to consistently miss shifts especially for very poor reasons.
9. It bugs me that sometimes people refuse to learn new things and consistently ask the same questions. This bugs me because it shouldn't require me explaining something multiple times especially if the task is easy.
10. It bugs me that many times my girlfriend has to rely on me for almost everything. This bugs me because I am very independent and often do stuff on my own and typically think others should do the same thing.
11. It bugs me when people do not know how to drive properly. This bugs me because it typically ends up making me late for work or other appointments and I can't rely on others to do the right thing.
12. It bugs me when people aren't reliable and typically don't show up for things they said they would. This bugs me because it shows how unreliable people actually are and is a waste of time.
13. It bugs me when professors fail to address topics that end up on exams. This bugs me because there is already enough information to go over and trying to assume that certain information is on an exam is just adding unneeded stress.
14. It bugs me when people are constantly pessimistic. This bugs me because I am typically very optimistic and it ends up bringing the mood down when others are constantly negative.
15. It bugs me when I see people not caring about school. This bugs me because a lot of them are given great opportunities and end up just wasting it away because of laziness.
16. It bugs me that I've had multiple people hit my car and refuse to leave any information behind and think that it is perfectly acceptable to act like it didn't happen. This bugs me because I end up having to cover the cost myself for something I didn't do.
17. It bugs me when people spend all day on social media complaining about some of the most irrelevant topics. This bugs me because they could and should be spending their time doing more productive things.
18. It bugs me when customers wait until the very last minute to enter the store and then proceed to spend fifteen minutes after close looking at products. This bugs me because they have the majority of the day to look at products and shouldn't be walking in as we are closing.
19. It bugs me how much textbooks cost, regardless of the class. This bugs me because it is already very expensive to take the course and on top of that we end up having to spend an extra two to three hundred on the textbook.
20. It bugs me when people try to ask me questions outside of work just because I am still in uniform. This bugs me because I already have to answer questions all day while on the clock and don't want to spend any free time doing my job.
This assignment ended up being a lot harder than I thought. I thought it would be easy as I typically find something that bugs me almost every day, but when it comes time to write them down it's hard to remember all of them.
I can relate to your struggles with work. While in high school I worked a food industry job and was riddled with the same problems you have. Inconsiderate customers are the worst, most of the time it is always people that have never worked a customer service job and don't understand how refreshing seeing a friendly person is. ReplyDeleteIt seems like a lot of aspect of your job annoy you! Maybe look into working somewhere else? I appreciate you mentioning social media though, i feel like a lot of bugs come from there.
